The two of you

The two of you like to the beach
a dreaming couple step by each –
stop for a while and think of it:
Is sea the feeling, land the wit?

Is sea the woman, man the land,
relation mirrored by the strand?
If so necessity your goal.
If so let wisdom free the soul.

Look up, and feel the wind, the air.
Look up, and feel the rain, the care.
Together they will keep up life
utility by not in strife.

The air will let the being blow.
The rain will let the being love.
Together they will life afford.
Perhaps they are by Christ, The Lord.

Look even further up and see
the sun show courtesy and free
the moon caressing earth at night,
both entertaining Christ, the light.

The sun exposes will and fears.
The moon exposes wants and cares.
Together and by God they are
explaining the exotic star.

Reflect upon it. Feel the truth
so obvious to some, to youth.
And as you start to walk again
let hands unite. By fingers ten.

I love this poem. I find it hard to explain what I like about it but it gives me a (good) feeling of fragility.
Only the last sentences I don't understand completely.
Hugs, Lois

Hello Lois. Thank you for your most valued feedback. You are kind. You inspire me to ponder upon the last sentences again (I find it not easy to end a poem).
